@Talbutti YOU COULD BE WHATSOVER THING YOU WANT TO… SPEND WHATEVER YOU WANTO BUT AS FAR AS ITALIAN CLOTHING IS CONCERN… SORRY THERE IS NO ROOM FOR THOSE LIKE YOU… AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT THEY SAY IT IS SAD BUT IT’S THE FACT, APPARENTLY HIGH-END FASHION IS NOT FOR BLACK MEN
Dolce & Gabbana did have one black model last show, he’s in the backstage pictures on the Dolce site but I agree, they need more black models. One designer who’s loaded up on black models is Etro. He’s even had print ad’s with a black model.
I differ…..I am a wealthy black man; yes I am an extremely handsome 6’1 w/sharp features man. I spend about 20k a yr on D&G clothing. I was turned off…I’m beginning to see a trend. No black models HOW SAD! I think I will take my money elsewhere.
some of it looks like pjs and dress shirts. boxers and glasses >>>>>kinda hot
some things make the guys look a lil gay? (was that the point?) other than that… very nice
To Lakers1990′s comment that there are no blacksin Italy. You are sadly mistaken. My descendents are from southern Italy which is comprised of heavy Afro/Italians. Look into Sciliy’s cultural history. There is no reason other than prejudice to not include color in your clothing lines. I don’t think the brother’s would wear most of this line but, could give some pointer’s. I am not impressed.
wats up with the man purses-yeah yeah i get the whole evolving trends thing-and even though ive studied high fashion-ill never agree with the man purses bit. haha
i’ve seen black models in D&G runway shows, but very rarely lol…also i’ve seen 2 Asians but i never saw them again. I guess is up to designers what they looking for. All i can say is that i love this collection. In my opinion D&G is the best, but is 2 expensived for me thou :’(.
Well most designers don’t market to blacks so it makes no sense to include black models. It’s a sad reality in the higher end designer world but not much you can do. I also remember last summer when I went into a Dolce & Gabbana store in Madrid, the sales people ignored a couple black customers and dealt with everyone else in the store which include muslims. Same stuff goes on here in Miami. Very sad.
There isn’t a lot of diversity because there is not a lot of racial diversity in Italy, and Dolce and Gabbana is an Italian line. Thus, there are few, if any, black models.
@Talbutti AND TAKE IN CONSIDERATION THAT D&G IS ONE OF THE MOST BLACK-FRIENDLY JUST PICTURE THE REST OF ITALIAN DESIGNERS
